Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ability to understand and adhere to all state laws and regulations as well as having a passion for education is also a MUST

  • Ensures children are supervised at all times using active supervision
  • Acts as a liaison between the children and parents addressing problems and answers regarding the children
  • Creates a stimulating environment for the child by conducting developmentally appropriate activities
  • Encourages classroom participation and positive interaction with other children
  • Redirects undesirable behavior to promote positive socialization.
  • Responds to children’s verbal and nonverbal indications of need and/or request.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans which follow a cohesive theme
  • Provide proper daily documentation pertaining to children and classroom
  • Provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers

Qualifications/Requirements:

A successful candidate must be able to adequately perform each essential duty, and have the following education and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • 30 college credits including 12 credits in Early Childhood Development from an accredited College or University or CDA
  • A minimum of 1-year childcare experience in a daycare setting
  • Ability to acquire 1st aid CPR child abuse and communicable disease training within 30 days of hire
  • Able to lift 35lbs
